Dumpster Funk is a beat tape series aimed for rappers and 90's hip hop heads missing the vibe of the boom bap era. This stylistic exercise is a tribute to the producers that inspired me growing up. Fans of Pete Rock, Buckwild, Premier, Havoc, Lord Finesse and Large Professor should definitely dig this 60 minutes funk/jazz/soul sample fest. It was entirely produced from analogue sources and vintage equipment, the old-fashioned way. From the record, through the 12bit sampler, straight to the 4-track. I chose the cassette format to remain true to the medium of choice of this era.

Cassette sales revenue will be used to finance the vinyl pressing of my upcoming LP.

I arrived too late for Seeds, Roots and Fruits double vinyl. Still, I "met" the awesome (eek) folks at Beat Catz and they made me feel better. 24j
